Who Am I?

Welcome to Max Winchester Photography – a space where creative portrait photography meets a hint of the unconventional. I’m Max, a Cardiff photographer who’s been capturing life’s unscripted moments since 2004. My journey began with a band shoot in an abandoned mental hospital (because why not start off with a bang?), and since then I’ve been chasing the art of edgy portrait photography and alternative fashion photography from Bristol to Newport and everywhere in between.  

I believe that a portrait should do more than just freeze a moment—it should tell a story with a wink and a nod. My style blends cinematic lighting with an unashamedly offbeat approach, ensuring that every creative portrait photo reflects the true character of its subject.
